July 4th is not only about fireworks, parades and barbeques, but more of a clear reminder that on this day in 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the independence of the United States of America from Great Britain and its king; hence the name Independence Day.
On this day, we celebrate our freedom in so many ways!
“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.” Dwight David Eisenhower
I wish you and your family a happy and healthy July 4th!
